Venturing around the world was a dangerous thing for anyone to do. Even for a young faunus hailing from Mistral. While she had attended Signal Academy for her basic training, it was now time to move onto the bigger and better things. This in particular meant she was going to Beacon after the extensive review of her skills that actually got her accepted. The young-woman-to-be was more excited than anything at the thought. While she would have missed her homeland, this was one of the greatest schools to get into across all of Remnant. She couldn't believe she actually was going to have the opportunity to get in and form a team and continue her training in this place. Slipping on her ripped up skinnies and her vest over her halter top, Neon, the topic of discussion, slid her goggles over her eyes, changing the view of the world into orange as she lifted Steel Soul and clasped it to her backside. A light glow of red-orange light came from her for a brief moment before disappearing and the disc unloaded itself. In seconds, the girl was covered from the hip down in greaves with rollerblades and a pair of gauntlets.

A twitch of her ears and a flick of her tail as she slipped on her gloves, she was ready to embrace the city she came to from afar. A rev of the engines in her greaves and she was gone. Engineered to move from the forward pressure on the wheels, Steel Soul's rollerblade function was probably the most exciting weapon to actually wield, if only for it's more natural fun-induced activity. In a blur of colors of black, orange, and white, Neon sped through the city streets, pushing herself around and bending her way around corners from the kicking off of the wheels against any surface she touched. In a way, she was nothing but a vision that could take to the skies, able to out-maneuver even the most agile of opponents in the right circumstances. This wasn't the easiest of actions to achieve, of course, as her abilities weren't really meant for that.

The girl was a little lithe, given her place as a fox faunus of all things. So to wear such heavy armor actually made it harder to move without the right amount of training. Or in the case of keeping her weapon in its' second form, keeping the weight displaced into her legs where the majority of her figure was in the first place. Her legs could take the majority of the pain of bearing the weight, where the rest of her body faltered more often. This was perhaps the main reason she actually avoided full deployment of Steel Soul. It was too risky. At least in this form she could use the weight to create a heavier kick, which in turn actually pushed back alot harder and gave her more forward acceleration. She could actually fight in this form. The third form was strictly for when she needed a bodily defense in the case of using the trump of her semblance to help someone else out of a tight spot. Thankfully that didn't happen often, or Neon may well have already been put out of commission.

Taking a corner sharply, Neon felt the weight of her weapon slide a bit and heard the screech of labored stress on the metal before she released the wires wound up in Steel Soul. Her favorite activity was actually more in partaking in the very fact that the whole world could be ridden by her. Deploying the wires created a streamline of webbing that she could ride on. One arm extended out and wires shot out, grabbing onto a wall and pulling her towards it as she adjusted her body to become perpendicular to the ground itself. In a mere second she was riding on a wall of a building horizontally, pushing the speed of Steel Soul to keep her alot before she'd begin to descend. A 360 spin forced her weight up the building, and readjusted her to look out on the world for a short-lived moment as wires by her waistline bolted straight out in front of her. Latching onto another surface, Neon pushed against the wall she was already riding on like a swimmer turning on their laps underwater, flipping onto the wires that crossed over each other creating a bridge for her to ride upon.

She slid across to the rooftop of another building and retracted the wires to their dispensers and continued on her journey to nowhere. Getting lost in the city as she rode was all she needed. It was the fun in the journey, and not necessarily the destination itself, that was the real reward. Aside from the people's gazes as they'd probably never seen anything like her before. Granted, the fun about her unique item was somewhat lost on the fact that it had no pistol function. She was pretty much reliant on dust to do anything, though the fair idea of having dust actually put into the weapon made itself even more functional in melee combat against the grimm. Otherwise Neon probably just looked like a recreational user of a suped up pair of rollerblades and crazy medieval-like armor.

Her heart beat faster as she continued to sprint across the city, exerting her energy for every movement that took her further across the land. She was suddenly taken away from the idea of even being in school to become a huntress. All she really wanted was to live her life and enjoy every moment it had to offer. People could just get along and she could just ride about on Steel Soul like it was a normal thing to do every day. Which the latter part was already a normal thing for her. It just happened that Steel Soul was also a weapon in combat. From enhanced lower body strength for kicking power that could kill to the dust-enhanced elemental abilities it could perform, Neon was indeed a warrior. She just didn't partake like others did. She didn't have that motivation. It was more like becoming a Huntress was just a natural thing for her, as her recreational use of Steel Soul also put her out there to combat the grimm in an effort to create a peaceful environment for everyone. Plus, she liked it. She'd never say no to the chance to battle since she got the adrenaline rush out of it too.

This was Neon Copper, new resident of Vale, and student of Beacon Academy. Arching her wires into a weblike system, she rode into the air itself. The sun seemed to completely block out the thin lines she rode, making her nearly achieve flight to those who didn't look close enough. Her smile broadened then as she reached the zenith of her ride before springing off the very top of her wires and into the air for a vertical spin. The wires retracted to not get in her way as gravity took hold and she descended. Spinning forward a couple more times, she could see the concrete below her come closer faster and faster with each second before adjusting her body back upright and landing on the air cushioned system of her feet from the wheels of Steel Soul. An audible landing was then followed by the retraction of all the plates of metal into the disc form of Steel Soul before Neon looked out at the city street she then stood in. "Ooh, a dust shop," she exclaimed with glee before continuing to saunter off down the street at a much less brisk pace.

The Wingless Fox Takes a Dive [Limited] Empty Re: The Wingless Fox Takes a Dive [Limited]

Around the same general time in which the majority of this occurred, a particular, lycan heir by the name of Taeseung Kyon would have been strolling about, whistling a rather loud yet pleasant tune as he made his way across the streets and sidewalks of the borders between the shopping and commercial districts of the grand city of Vale. As a usual sight upon his being, he held two objects of his on his figure; Melodious Vocalizer was kept slung over his shoulders and against his back, while Feral Symphony was hooked comfortably on his right shoulder, with its strap seen within a light grasp of the corresponding extremity. For sake of civil courtesy however, each possession of his was still locked in their primary forms; Vocalizer still remained as the microphone stand that it first and foremost was, while Symphony took image as a rather exquisite-looking electrical violin- one that lacked a case at the moment, though had its bow clipped onto a special compartment on its left side.

It was safe to say that this duo of displays would more than likely cause him to be thought of as some sort of street performer, or other things of the sort.
Not that he minded, though. He was a performer… Just one that performed in clubs and whatnot, in contrast to the streets.
There were moments where days would be slow, though, and he would take to the Vytal streets to entertain passerbys and civilians on the starts of their days.

Alas, however; this day was one of many that didn’t entail such actions of ambitions. Instead of heading off toward his family-owned restaurant for a day of work both in the kitchen and on the stage, his father had issued him a day off- though not one for leisurely purposes. The purpose of this particular off-shift moment was for the young wolf to embark upon a minor journey into the streets of his home to simply shop and gather several materials for the needs of his family’s more personal industries back at home. As of that particular timeframe from that day spanning to a reasonable amount of time beforehand, the Kyon’s Dust amounts were steadily beginning to decrease as it normally did. It just happened that they were noticed once more – as they normally were on a monthly basis – and that he was picked to retrieve the necessary materials this time around.

He didn’t mind, though, of course.

Ahaha~… Any excuse to be able to walk around the city… the symphonic teen would think to himself with a subtle, relieved sigh of seeming bliss. Narrowed, yet enthusiastic voids of a faded, stormy blue-grey would scan his surroundings as he continued forward across his pathway, his ears flickering lightly as he quietly listened to the ongoing sounds of city life occurring all around him. Eventually, he breathed a soft breath before lifting his hands, placing them behind his head and intertwining them within a soft grasp in a somewhat lazy and carefree manner. Working in the kitchen is hella fun, yeah, but… Man, it is nice to just take a walk around down sometimes… Huh… Maybe if I finish the things that Dad told me to do early enough, I could- Woah.

Before this mental-based remark of his could be ended, the musical boy shifted his attention towards his western flank, his ears flickering for the slightest moment in realization as he gave his stride an abrupt end at the sight of the skating newcomer. From the sidelines, he watched as she seemed to trigger a remarkable and fancy display of movements. Mostly from having been off-guard, though also from a tinge of interest and curiosity, as well, he just watched for a temporary bit of time as the girl made both her entry and exit into the store in what seemed to be the most casual fashion. While she ducked into the general area of the store, Tae was left there, staring at the door for a small amount of time as he just took a little bit to allow what had happened to fully sink in.

Moments afterwards, he shook his head faintly while glancing up at the store’s logo, blinking quietly as he noted the fact that it was a Dust-based store. Huh…well, that’s pretty damn lucky… Shrugging, the canine adjusted his weaponry – or, as they were at that moment, instruments – to a more comfortable position across his being before stepping forward a few paces and entering the shop himself. Inhaling deeply, he allowed his gaze to drift about before he spotted the types of fuel that his family seemed to be in need of for the most part. Though he spotted his primary focus quickly, he glanced around for a little while more, taking a moment to give his attention towards the skater afar.

Lifting a hand up, he gave her his signature, charismatic grin while waving a tad. ”Yoooo, sick little entrance out there,” he called across the store with an amused laugh, nodding over at the other. Turning his head a bit, he shuffled over toward a couple of Dust-filled shelves before browsing through what it had to offer, holding a couple of the products up to the light for a second or so before glancing back over his shoulder and at the girl again. ”You a pro or something? ‘Cause…damn, it really seems like you are.”

The Wingless Fox Takes a Dive [Limited] Empty Re: The Wingless Fox Takes a Dive [Limited]

From the back end of the store, where one would find various video games, music, and magazines displaying the various different types of pop culture that was present in the modern-day culture of Vale stood yet another teen. His eyes a startling crimson that oft caused some people to quietly question him on whether or not they were completely natural or if they were merely colored contact lenses that he happened to like wearing all the time. Nonetheless, they were natural indeed along with his snow-white hair. He was wearing a simple black t-shirt and a pair of battered old jeans. The black denim slightly more frayed near the bottom of each pants leg than the others. On his back resided a scythe of such enormous size that it was a wonder he could easily carry it, and hidden in the waistband of his jeans were a pair of twin Desert Eagles that he never left without. As it was, the boy was calmly flipping through a magazine displaying various upcoming artists absentmindedly while his two female companions surveyed the exotic dusts behind him.

"Hey, Rin, what do you think about this one?" One of the aforementioned companions asked as she looked at the boy. Her blonde hair cascaded down her back elegantly until it reached her waist, and one could see two dark chocolate koala ears poking out from the top of her head as she regarded Rin with a set of innocent green eyes. She was wearing her usual bright green tanktop, but had opted to wear a skirt instead of her usual shorts as a substitute.

"Hmm?" Rin grunted, looking up from the magazine to see what the large-breasted Koala Faunus was trying to show him. In her hand was a strange dark red dust crystal that Rin had never seen before, and his row furrowed after a few moments as he struggled to decide on what he should tell her. "It's probably best if we don't go around buying exotic crystals at random, Leaf," He advised calmly before going back to his magazine.

"Y'know Rin, you're really no fun," said his second companion, who was calmly shifting through a newspaper. True to her nature, the front page heading stated something about a recent string of killings that had been going on in the otherwise calm city, and the dark-haired female lifted her own crimson eyes up to meet with Rin's. The one thing no-one would be able to immediately tell from the girl, clad in a t-shirt advertising some rock band and a pair of dark jeans with chains dangling off of them, was that she was a complete sociopath. Albeit a sociopath with Multiple Personality Disorder.

"Sylvanas, you do realize that our ideas of 'fun' don't exactly overlap in the slightest, right?"

"Well of course I do, dummy!"

The Wingless Fox Takes a Dive [Limited] Empty Re: The Wingless Fox Takes a Dive [Limited]

At the light holler in her direction, Neon pricked up her ears before turning with a grim on her face towards the fellow faunus. Similar by canine appearances, he was much taller than she was, and darker in coloration. His tail also wasn't nearly as bushy as hers. He could have been a dog for all she knew. Neon wasn't psychic in these aspects. Granted, not every faunus was obvious to spot either. Her coloration of oranges and whites was just an obvious tick that she was a fox faunus, besides the obviously bigger and fuller bushy tail she happened to have on her lower half.

The guy was referring to her riding skills, complimenting her to which she couldn't ignore. She wasn't necessarily a pro, it was just no one else really did what she did. Or really wielded the rather odd arsenal of weaponry she had on hand. Deactivating the wheels, they rolled up and formed into more metal plating around her feet as she walked forward towards the faunus boy. "Thanks," she replied cheerfully with a full smile of teeth to show her sincerity. A small tilt of her head and a peace sign with her left hand meant she was goofing around a bit, since this was just another day for her doing what she did best. Though she had to admit, it wasn't like anyone else was going to expect what she had to offer. Everyone had their secrets anyways. She was just fairly confident most people had more brutally obvious weaponry to fight the grimm with was all.

"Can't say I'm a pro, really," she continued to answer the boy in polite conversation. Standing up straight, she put her arms behind her back, tangling them into an innocent and playful pose as she averted her eyes from the boy's. "I've had Steel Soul for years, though. Without it I wouldn't be able to do all that stuff. So... You could say I've had some time to practice." A small giggle escaped her breath at the end of her sentence as she stuck out of her tongue in teasing gesture.

Completely cutting off her weapon's supply to her aura, the weapon began to retract completely. Metal slid quietly over itself until it came together to shape into a single large disc worn on the girl's backside. Below was just a regular girl in her simple attire to address the boy, which actually made her even shorter, with her natural height exposed. She was already a pretty lithe character with a small figure with some challenge in the vertical sense, at least compared to this other guy. But the funny thing was she got an extra inch or two in height just having her greaves equipped. Plus a few more inches with the wheels deployed, which brought her up to six feet in height altogether or so, give or take a centimeter. Now she was completely dwarfed by this other faunus, though she still kept up her friendly demeanor since she didn't have a reason to be afraid of him. Afterall, he called her attention due to her riding skills.

"What about you, though? Some sort of musician I take it? Or are you a hunter in training too since you're perusing the wares in this store? You can't tell me you just came in here to give me a compliment."

The Wingless Fox Takes a Dive [Limited] Empty Re: The Wingless Fox Takes a Dive [Limited]

Post by Requiem Wed Apr 22, 2015 7:50 am

With a snicker, the canine shrugged in a nonchalant manner, returning the other’s smile with his toothy, continued one. Weeeeeeell, I’ve been known to do things like that, actually… Hey, can’t help it if I see a pretty face with some sick skating skills. She’d deserve a compliment regardless of the reason, man!” he shot back in a rather upbeat response, laughing and winking at the girl in a joking display. After doing so, he shifted his attention toward the shelves another time, his laughter declining into a quiet void as he began browsing throughout the Dust selection once more. Aaaaah… Man, this place is frickin’ loaded… …It’s amazing, was the chain of thoughts to cross his intellect before scratching the back of his head. Turning heel, he breathed a quiet sigh, stepping to the side a couple of paces in order to acquire a small basket near the entrance, and, after doing so, he peered back over at the crossbreed whom he had been chatting with.

”Aaaaaaand regarding your questionssss~… You could say that I’m a bit of both, yeah.” Two brisk, yet somewhat large strides later, he would place himself in the very spot that he was in prior to the movement, gently but quickly sliding the Dust canisters and crystals that he had examined and touched earlier into his newfound containment. In the process, he looked back at the fox from over his shoulder. ”First and foremost, I am a Hunter…to-be, at least. Thaaaaaat’s why I’m attending Beacon right now. Third-year this year,” the wolf spoke with an aura of casualness, averting his stormy-hued gaze back to the shelves for a brief period of time as his search pressed on. ”After that, though, I’m a bit of a music junkie, yeah. Music’s practically, like…my second life or something. When I’m done with school and all that good crap, I’m normally working at one of my family’s restaurants either behind the scenes in the kitchen, or on one of their performing stages. And…well, if I’m not there, I’m either partying or performing at a club with some of my other music-oriented buddies.”

By the end of the last sentence, the symphonic boy drew his hand back from the arrangement of Dusts, instead sliding it within the basket that he had procured and seeming to double check the set of products that he had selected. Finding that the wares he had picked out were sufficient for the moment, he brought his gaze up to meet the other’s again. ”Regardless of whether I’m studying or making music, though, these two little beauties right here,” he began again, gesturing to either instrumental piece secured upon his figure, ”are always with me. While they’re my weapons the musical industry, they’re also my weapons in combat, too.” He took a moment to scan his surroundings, debating on whether or not he could give a swift exhibition of this. The decent amount of customers patrolling the store, however, would cause him to think on the ‘not’ end of that thought.

”…Can’t really risk showing you without accidentally cutting someone or getting kicked out, though, ha.”

Shrugging, the teen huffed lightly. ”Buuuuuut, back on topic… I’m not actually here for my own, personal benefit; my dad sent me out here to get more Dust. We normally just hit a Dust shop monthly, and it just happened that our supplies were running low around this time, so…yeaaaaaaaah.” Gently, he turned a bit to lean on the wall that stood near the Dusts that he had just picked off of. Gesturing around the store, he flashed the neighboring crossbreed a friendly and toothy smirk.

”Well, there’s my reason for being here, aaaand a little bit about myself. Name’s Taeseung Kyon, by the way; nice to meet ya. Now…what about you? You here to just windowshop or something?”
