It was a clear, cool evening, a certain girl was hiding impatiently in the bushes behind a certain bench in the Beacon courtyard "Where are they?..." she wondered aloud with slight worry in her voice...

StarShine walked into the courtyard annoyed and holding the letter that was very clearly drafted by a certain self professed shiplord "Dammit I knew this would happen eventually" he thought scanning the areas foliage for Meli. After looking around for a couple seconds he spotted something pink in one of the bushes "Bingo!" he thought while walking up to the bush and parting it "And just what the hell do you think you're doing?" he asked in his normal agitated voice

Meli looked up at Shine "Uh... Ignore the lady in the bushes, she is only and illusion..." she said, waving her hands around mystically before ducking into the bushes again...

"Firstly bull shit! secondly if you're going to be sneaky don't wear bright colors like you know pink." he said parting the bushes even more exposing Meli "Now get out of the bush you look like a madwoman" he said while his tail swished side to side in aggitation

Meli squeaked in surprise as the bushes were parted again "Uh... Hey, Shiny..."

Starshine stepped away from the bush "Either you get out of the bush and take off the mask or I go back to my room and finish weapon mantaince" he said glaring daggers

Meli shook her head with a pout "No... You're meant to stay here until your partner for the night gets here!" she insisted...

Starshine grimaced "Yeah... No" he said turning around "sorry but I doubt this person is going to show up seeing as how I have this" he said holding up the other letter that was supposed to be delivered to the other person "You forget that Jett is my brother getting info out of him is a cinch"

Meli looked at the other note with a pout "Aw... I knew I should've delivered it somewhere else..." she said sadly, taking off her mask "I already made the reservation at Grimm Fandango too... Oh well..." she continued, slowly getting out of the bush...

"You should have thought of that before you tried hooking me up on a blind date" Starshine said bitterly before sighing "Though I am sorry that you spent money on this"

Meli shrugged "Nah, it's cool, it's less about the mony, I got enough of that to spare, it's more about the fact that when people turn gifts from me down I feel like I didn't do good enough with it..." she said in a happy tone, but it was clear she was kind of sad "Oh well, like I always say, you win some you lose some!" she said happily...

Starshine groaned inwardly feeling more guilty than he did before "You know you really are disgustingly nice you should try being more mean" he said trying to hide the fact he was feeling legitimately guilty

Meli looked at him with confusion "...Why would I want to be mean?... There's no reason for me to be mean..."

StarShine gave her a blank look before sighing "Nevermind I guess you're fine as is... Except the whole 'shipping' thing that I am incapable of getting behind" he said with a firm edge to his voice

Meli smiled "That's what they all say... Then I pair them up and they're either right or they find their perfect match, I've never been anything but at the extremes in terms of success!" she said proudly...

StarShine sighed and said "you know you are really hard to stay mad at" before staring her straight in the eyes "but seriously you shouldn't try to set me up with anyone I can guarantee it won't work out"

Meli pouted "You don't know that... If I could set your brother who said the same thing up, I could set you up... Then again, I set him up with myself... So..." she said with a shrug...

StarShine sighed "yeah but unlike my brother I'm not a total tool on the inside"

Meli frowned cutely "Jetty's not a tool..." she said quietly "He's just a big ol' teddy bear... Teddy ox... Whatever..."

StarShine snickered "please Jett has, is and always will be a total tool I mean one cutesy look and all his will power breaks down... And just FYI don't try that on me it doesn't work"

"You sure about that, Shiny?..." she said, flashing him some puppy dog eyes despite his warning...

Starshine narrowed his eyes at Meli and said "Yeah I'm sure" and gave her a soft flick between the eyes on the bridge of her nose

Meli flinched as he flicked her "Ow... That really, kinda hurt..." she said sadly "I was just trying to get you together with someone, she was really nice, too! I think her name was Sfi-... Sfika...? Yeah, Sfika, she's nice!" she insisted...

Starshine sighed "It doesn't matter if shes nice or a total bitch that's not the issue" he said with a sigh

Meli pouted "Then I don't see the big deal, then... I just wanna help people..."
